Welcome to Resilient Health Communities, Inc. (RHC)
At Resilient Health Communities, Inc. (RHC), we empower individuals and groups to create or increase health-focused groups in their communities by starting with brain health initiatives. As we often say–in community, we use and share brain health tools so that we can live longer–healthier–happier lives. While we serve all communities, we focus on underserved and underrepresented populations, who face significantly higher risks of dementia and related health challenges.
Social isolation and dementia are urgent public health issues. According to the U.S. Surgeon General, the health impact of social isolation is equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day, significantly increasing risks for heart disease, stroke, and dementia. Additionally, loneliness raises the risk of dementia by 50%, making it a critical area of focus for RHC. These challenges disproportionately affect minority and underserved communities, emphasizing the importance of our mission.
